After breakfast board the bus and depart for Reims. On the way stop at Chantilly Castle for a guided visit. The Château de Chantilly is one of the finest jewels in the crown of France’s cultural heritage. The Château survived down through the centuries and remains as it was when the Duke of Aumale gave it as a gift it to the Institut de France in 1886, making it the perfect place to take a journey back in time to the heart of a princely residence.

Continue onto Reims and check in the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning board the bus and depart on a full day tour of the Champagne Region. This tour takes you through the 4 Champagne houses in Reims and Epernay : Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Pommery, and Mercier. A private tour at Pommery will show you the cellars and the Champagne method but also a giant modern artworks exhibition in the cellars themselves, followed by a double tasting of some special champagnes. Then have a stop at the Veuve Clicquot boutique to enjoy their yellow color.

After a 3-course lunch with champagne aperitif, your guide will drive you through the Champagne vineyards and UNESCO listed landscapes to Epernay, the capital of Champagne. You’ll visit two other great houses. The cellars of the famous Moët & Chandon with a double tasting and to finish Mercier Champagne cellars tour in a funny small train with one more double Champagne tasting.

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning check out the hotel, board the coach and depart for Dijon, stopping on the way in Auxerre and Chablis.

Explore the rich history and culture of Auxerre with your guide: immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of Saint Stephen’s Cathedral and delve into centuries of fascinating stories within the walls of Saint Germain Abbey.

Then, transfer to Chablis: the Chablis wine region, an official “Vignobles & Découvertes” destination since 2012, offers a complete wine tourism experience. Visit a winery and enjoy a wine tasting session together with a light lunch.

In the afternoon continue onto Dijon and check in the hotel.

If you love fine wine, you’ll love the twin villages of Tournon and Tain-l’Hermitage. Tournon may be a small town, but stirring events took place here: A castle was raised on the hilltop in the 10th century to protect the region, and new fortifications were added over the centuries, including two “new” towers built to defend against Protestant attacks in the 16th century. You’ll see the handsome houses constructed by wealthy merchants and garrison officers when you walk through the Rue de Doux area, and you’ll pass the 14th-century church and the oldest secondary school in France.
