Tour Details:

Day 1

(MD, Motel) Taking the Indian Ocean Drive out of Perth, we get use to the sparkling Indian Ocean on our West. Through many cray fishing towns; Jurien Bay, Green Head & Leeman, to Dongara for lunch. Visit the HMAS Sydney Memorial overlooking Geraldton, via Northampton and the Lynton Convict Depot to Kalbarri.

Day 2

(CB, RD, Motel) Out to the spectacular gorges of the Murchison River in Kalbarri National Park, visit Natures Window and the Z Bend before returning to town. In the afternoon after viewing the coastal gorges we enjoy the Murchison River as the sun sets. Dinner at Finlays BBQ, a Kalbarri institution.

Day 3

(CB, MD, Motel) Returning to the North West Coastal Highway the county changes to open plains and sprawling sheep stations. Continuing to Carnarvon on the Gascoyne River.

Day 4

(FB, MD, Motel) Exploring Carnarvon we visit a plantation on the banks of the Gascoyne to taste the local produce before heading up to the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum to learn about the role of this dish in the 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing. Later we visit the One Mile Jetty built in 1897 to ship wool and livestock to Fremantle. This precinct also houses the Railway & Shearers Hall of Fame. Note: Space and Jetty Museums included.

Day 5

(FB, MD, Motel) We continue North to Coral Bay for a glass bottom boat cruise to view the striking coral of Ningaloo Reef before free time to snorkel or swim on the reef. We stay the night at Exmouth, the centre for the Navy Nor-West Cape Base and the Harold E Holt Communications Base. Note: Boat cruise included.

Day 6

(FB, MD, Motel) We travel to the head of the Gulf to take in the view from the Vlaming Lighthouse. Further around the Cape to Yardie Creek in the Cape Range National Park, a beautiful, rugged, iconic WA coastline. Returning to Exmouth with an optional Whale Watching cruise in the afternoon or time to relax by the pool. Note: Boat Cruise not included.

Day 7

(FB, PL, MD, Motel) Leaving the Cape and the Coast we enter the Pilbara and the spinifex covered ranges which houses an enormous amount of Australia’s Iron Ore. We reach Tom Price, WA’s highest town above sea level.

Day 8

(CB, PL, PD, Motel) Into Karijini National Park, some of the gorges we see today are as impressive as any you would see in Australia. We visit Dales Gorge, Circular Pool and Fortescue Falls at the East end of the park as well as Oxer and Junction Pool lookouts in the West end.

Day 9

(CB, PL, RD, Motel) Departing Tom Price we follow the Rio Tinto railway line towards the coast. Passing through Millstream – Chichester National Park an oasis in the desert nestled within the chocolate brown rocks of the Chichester Range dotted with spinifex and snappy gums. In the afternoon we reach the massive export facilities of the Pilbara.

Day 10

(CB, RD, Motel) Originally developed for Iron Ore export Karratha’s economic export base now includes sea-salt, ammonia and Liquefied Natural Gas from the North West Shelf, Pluto and Gorgon. We tour around this swiftly growing town in its hue of red dust and high vis.

Day 11

(CB, CAD, Motel) Morning visit to Cossack, the oldest port on the Pilbara coast. To Port Hedland still pumping out millions of tonnes of Ore from around Newman.

Day 12

 (CAB, PL, MD, Motel) Finishing off our drive along the Great Northern Highway through Pardoo, Sandfire and the Roebuck Plains to Broome.

Day 13

(FB, PD, Motel) John Forrest chose the location of Broome in 1883 and the Pearling industry quickly moved in to set its base up in the protection of Roebuck Bay. A multicultural town from the start the influences of many nations are still evident in the architecture, cuisine and people. We tour the town, Gantheaume Point and have a picnic dinner on Cable Beach watching the last sunset of our journey.

Day 14

(FB) Optional tour to Willie Creek Pearl Farm before we fly out, having loved the West Australian Coast, National Parks and the beautiful Indian Ocean.

  • a non-refundable deposit of $350 per person at the time of booking
  • We recommend Travel Insurance or Fare Protection Plan as protection
    against this risk.
  • All tickets and vouchers are issued and all travel and accommodation arrangements are made by the Firm upon the express condition that it shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, delay or inconvenience either by reason of any defect in any vehicle or building or through the act or defaults whether negligent or otherwise, of the Firm or its servants or any company, firm or person engaged in providing transport, refreshment, accommodation or other facilities or services in connection with the Tour, nor shall the Firm be liable for any damage, losses or additional expenses suffered by the passenger as the result of delay or changes on road, rail, sea, air or other services or as a result of sickness, quarantine, weather, war, strikes, riot or any other cause whatsoever.
  • The Firm, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to modify any tour or holiday itinerary, route, timetable, excursion or accommodation and shall not be liable to the passenger for any loss, damage or inconvenience resulting therefrom.
  • The balance of the fare is due one month prior to departure,
  • If a passenger wishes to cancel his or her booking, the fare will only be refunded as follows:(a) 28 days or more prior to designated departure date 100%
    Less monies held by any third parties for cancellation.
    (b) 27 to 16 days prior to designated departure date 90%
    Less monies held by any third parties for cancellation.
    (c) 15 to 6 days prior to designated departure date 80%
    Less monies held by any third parties for cancellation.
    (d) 5 to 1 days prior to designated departure date 0%
    (e) Day of departure or during tour 0%.
  • SPECIAL COVID CANCELLATION RULES: The Firm reserves the right without previous notice to the passenger to cancel or withdraw any tour and in such event the full sum paid by the passenger shall be returned to the passenger and upon tendering the same all liability of the firm to the passenger shall cease.  If we must cancel a tour due to COVID- 19,  passengers have will receive a full refund or by their choice kept the money on file for another tour.
